• No, both memory slots are being used, each by a 4gb memory stick. You'll have to replace both with 8gb memory sticks or just have one 16gb stick.

• I would assume no...mfg's put the ram in pairs...(ie 4gb in each slot) you would need to replace it with ()2 8gbs.
