• Yes, Windows Defender is included as part of Windows 10. There is also a 30-day trial of McAfee virus protection installed on this device.

• Windows 10 is shipped with Defender. It's a Microsoft service and isnt dependent on the laptop manufacturer. Alongside defender Lenovo also offers a 6 month subscription to Webroot Internet Security, though Windows Defender should be more than enough to protect you.
