How much cores and threads does the cpu have because I searched it up and it says it has 16 cores and 32 threads online but on here its only 8 cores and 16 threads in the specifications area null

The Ryzen 9 8945HX 2023 comes with 16 cores and 32 threads.

If it says Ryzen 9 8945HS or 8940HS those come with 8 cores and 16 threads, I have this laptop and it does indeed have the first mention, 16 cores with 32 threads.

I think it's probably got the 16 core and 32 threads. It at least has 32 threads. That much is clear on my system monitor. This is btop and the default system monitor on ubuntu 2024.04.
