• That's wrong, there is another slot for a SSD inside the laptop. As I opened mine to clean the fans and saw the slot. So if you wanted to add another SSD yes you can.

• Memory? Yes. I added another 16gb to give it 32gb. TB are the storage, so yes you could use an external SSD but not an interior one.
