“What is the maximum upgradeable RAM? It says in the specs that this machine is 32GB with a max of 32GB, but many of the Lenovo Legions are upgradeable to 64GB with DDR5 specs. Curious if the specs have a typo or if 32GB is truly the hard cap.”

For context, the max memory is based on the test results with current Lenovo memory offerings. Some Legion models and series feature higher memory offerings worldwide with 64GB of memory being offered, thus Lenovo has confirmed that 64GB of memory is supported in these devices. While the CPU, chipset and board in this Legion Pro 5i may support 64GB of memory, since Lenovo has not tested the system with more than 32GB of memory, this has not officially been confirmed.
