Is this really 12lb? null

No. Reviews pin it at about 8lbs laptop and charger. I want to say the laptop itself is around 5.5-6lb, and the charger makes up the rest.

Hey Mike, The Legion Pro 7i (16", 10th gen) does not weigh anywhere near 12 pounds, it's closer to 6 pounds, around 5.6 pounds to be more exact.
