Per the manufacturer's website, 16GB replaceable stick is the maximum upgrade available for 24 GB total (1x8GB soldered to the mobo and the new 1x16GB upgraded module). That said, I upgraded the replaceable module to 32GB (Kingston Fury: KF548S38IB-32) giving me a total of 40GB RAM. I have had zero issues thus far but it's only about 2 weeks old.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Just installed a Corsair 32GB 4800Mhz DDR5 Sodimm in my Legion Slim 7 AMD Advantage Edition laptop and I can confirm not only does it work with 40GB of DDR5 Ram it maintains the Quad Channel Performance!!! Most gaming laptops with one memory slot will drop performance down to Dual Channel. The Legion maintains Quad Channel.

I purchased the CORSAIR Vengeance CMSX32GX5M1A4800C40 and it worked without issue. I made this decision based on another reviewer's comment regarding this memory. Laptop memory is now 40GB, and per HWInfo, it's operating at Quad Memory mode.

One memory soldered to systemboard, one DDR4 SO-DIMM slot, dual-channel capable at this level. The maximum RAM that this model configuration can support would be a single channel configuration of Up to 24GB (8GB soldered + 16GB SO-DIMM) DDR5-4800MHz RAM. We recommend you consult with your certified technician about your RAM upgrade options.
