I have been using SOLIDWORKS on this with assemblies with 250-500 components and soooooooo many mates that I would expect it to be really hard on the computer, but it runs great. 16gb of ram is enough to run complex CAD, so I would say go for it, if you need more though you could DIY upgrade ram to 24gb for only like $50
