It is possible that the Battery Saver software on your computer is showing the computer - Plugged In But Not Charging. Let the battery drain unplugged to below 50-percent, then plug the computer back in to see if the battery begins charging. This 65W USB-c AC adapter/charger is compatible with the IdeaPad S540 Series laptops, should you need a new charger.
