Hi Scott, Thanks for your question! The Lenovo Smart Clock uses up to 2W when in use. When not in use, the power consumption is 0.5W, which is like a living room light. The clock has an Auto Dim feature and can adjust to the ambient light in the room. You can also turn the screen completely off by saying “Ok Google turn off my screen.”.

The 120V power adapter that came with it is listed as max output 1.5 amp adapter. I would assume you could calculate the watts from that. You can set the clock to automatically adjust brightness. Whether or not that goes down when the screen dims I couldn't tell you.
