• There is nowhere to insert batteries. This clock runs on AC only.

• Hi Nick! Thanks for you question. The Lenovo Smart Clock with Google Assistant uses an included AC power adapter to function. It does not have a battery at this time. Your set alarms will remain intact in the event of a brief power outage.
