Once you insert the card, you have to designate how the card will handle data. The first option is to have this memory card be the “primary” place for data. The advantage of this is that you will have more memory to run your applications. The downside of using this option is that you can’t simply take the card out without affecting your applications. The second option which is the one I use, the documents and other files will be on the card and I can simply transfer the information by inserting the card into a computer. Of course, if you’re in the cloud, it won’t make that much of a difference because all your documents are in the cloud.
