Hi, toocoolnanny. It should work fine; however, you may have to may not have access to local Lenovo Support options.

It can be used anywhere, including the dark side of the moon, even to the point of changing the language to just about any (limited here to Earth languages). Its CAPABILITIES, however, may differ for tasks involving the internet (and access thereto).

Yes, I used mine in Jordan and Egypt (and in Europe too) and it worked fine
