• Anybody that has Windows 8 is eligible to upgrade to 8.1. It is a normal windows update.

• It came with 8.1 even a week or so before the official 8.1 release date

• It comes with 8.1, not 8.0. There is no upgrade you would need to do.

• FWIW, mine came with 8.1 already installed.

• It comes with Windows 8.1 by default. No need to upgrade.
