“How is the Intel Wireless Display activated? The product description lists Intel Wireless Display (WiDi) as a feature but searching on the computer doesn’t show anything for Intel WiDi. Does this require a software download?”

Yes. I had problems with the Windows wifi but once I loaded the Intel ProSet/Wireless Wifi Connection Utility, wifi works great now. I downloaded the Intel drivers/software from Lenovo's driver download site.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The Intel WiDi refers to the computer's built-in display. Unlike a traditional laptop, the Yoga 2's display isn't wired to the body of the computer. It does not refer to an external display.

Make sure you also run the windows updates. from the left charms click on settings --> change pc settings --> PC and devices --> Devices Add device and Pair the widi tv adapter with windows 8. Your TV either has to support widi, or you need to buy something like the Netgear Push2TV and connect it to your TV. from PC and devices go to Displays. at the bottom there is a: Connect to wireless display.
