• From the research I have done, the one on the Best Buy website is 8gb and it is not expanable.

• no RAM extension possible, you need to go with the bigger one. its worth it!

• No it only comes with 4 or 8 and you have to choose at the time of purchase. I think the I7 is the only one that retails with 8G.

• I wouldn't, the bottom panel requires a special tool to open and this ultrabook is so thin everything must be very compact and close together. You can try, but unless you're doing video or photo editing, 4GB of RAM is plenty. Hope this helps!
