I think what you're talking about are "ghost touches". If so, google the problem and look for a post on a forum by a Lenovo worker with a link. I had the same problem, did the same thing, followed the link and it got me to a software download that (so far) has fixed the problem. Best of luck
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I also have this problem. The flashes are the video response given to 'clicks' with the touch screen. My best guess is that the touch screen is oversensitive and sometimes reacts to dust particles combined with the wind from my fan. It's easily solved, just close your laptop for a moment (it won't close out of any of your programs, so don't worry about that) and reopen. This seems to reset the screen sensitivity and I've gone anywhere from 3 to 7 days before the screen started going crazy again.

I've taken it to Geek Squad twice, once they downloaded and installed new graphics devices, the other they couldn't find the problem. I believe it may be a flaw with this computer. I am taking it in again today to see what they plan to do about it, if anything.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Ours is doing the same thing. Look around on the internet - MANY reports of this occurring. If it cannot be fixed this will be my last foray into any windows based device. We will be only Apple from here on out. Apple exchanged an IPAD I had that was 8 months past the warranty - no questions asked because it stopped working. Just walked into store and that's it. This is a KNOWN issue and a defective unit.
