“can it protect keyboard when useing tablet mode? Would this case slip over the keyboard only and protect it while useing the laptop as a tablet? Would the closure flap be loose at that time?”

• No it not protects the tablet when closed but it would not fit too loosely it fits snug.

• Yes I believe it would. It actually zips up but of course you wouldn't be able to zip it.
