“I bought this laptop and the vent seems to be on the bottom where it sits on my lap or a table. This seems to make it hot quickly. Is this normal?”

• My Lenovo has a similar bottom but it does great if on a hard surface. On a soft surface the little riser legs sink into the surface and the fan eventually comes on.

• I find myself experiencing this as well but I have an inexpensive laptop ventilating fan pad that I use to keep my system cool.

• Yes it does get hot, just make sure to keep that vent not blocked. If you set it on your lap, i put my leg almost to the side so it has air flow.
