• No, the ram is not soldered. YES, according to Crucial you can upgrade the RAM of this laptop by replacing the existing 8G module with one of their 16G module. Search the net for "crucial CT8905455" (the model number for a 16G module). The laptop comes with 8G of RAM (one slot that is populated). Note: i based my answer on the Crucial website.
