“Is there a preferred software that should be installed to prevent viruses?”

• I'm using the Webroot Secure Anywhere software version 9.0.11.70 that came free for 6 months with the laptop and it has performed well so far. I read a few reviews online and it seems to be one of the better ones available. No slowdowns or interference with performance or stability as far as I can tell.
