• Yes, just plug the USB receiver in to one of this device's USB ports and load the drivers that came with the mouse (if any).

• Yes you can. However I would advice you to use the Sculpt Comfort from Microsoft: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/microsoft-sculpt-comfort-wireless-optical-mouse-black/9322046.p?id=1219013209209&skuId=9322046 The laptop only has 2 usb ports and using a bluetooth mouse will bypass that problem.
