Customers love the Yoga 710's screen quality, light weight, and long battery life. Many appreciate its ease of use and the ample RAM, although some found the keyboard layout and limited number of USB ports to be less than ideal. The design is frequently praised, but the fan noise was a point of concern for some users. A few also mentioned issues with the size and placement of certain keys.

I love it! This laptop has great design and workmanship. The full HD screen has great color and contrast ratio. CPU and individual Video card are high specs and the SSD is super fast in boot-up time. The only complaint is the right Shift key design. Lenovo somehow put the up arrow key beside the right Shift key and the Shift key is made half the normal size. This is very inconvenient and messes up with the usual muscle memory.

First off, I got this computer for a STEAL. Less than 1,000 dollars for a computer with 16GB RAM and 256GB SSD. The keyboard feels right, its not shallow or hard to type on. The clarity is amazing, the speed is amazing. The sound quality is great. The battery lasts me a while, the charging cord is long enough to use and charge at the same time without having to be RIGHT next to an outlet. It's lightweight and very portable, it feels sturdy. It FEELS like a quality product and from what I can tell in the two weeks of having it, it is a quality product. The touch screen works perfectly, no bugs or anything like that. It flawlessly runs multiple programs at once. Overall, it is a wonderful computer. I'm sure you could even game on this computer if you wanted to. As a student, it exceeds all of my needs. Feel free to ask any questions.

This laptop has the i7 Intel chipset, nVid graphics card, 16gb DDR, and 256gb SSD and of course it's a 2-in-1, or 3-in-1 rather. The keyboard also is backlit, for night use. This does not have a CD/DVD, but who still needs that? There isn't an Ethernet port, but it is WIFI, so you probably don't need the port. The wireless card supports all types, including a,b,c, and n, so it will hold up to 300mb/sec. I don't ever do reviews, but this Lenovo deserves it, I returned a Dell Inspiron 2-in-1 and am so glad I did. It was half the speed, and well, half of everything. You cannot beat the price, considering all the upgrades. Shop around, and compare....this is a great deal. Blazing processor, fast Ethernet, lightweight, and flexible with tons of functionality. Quality seems exceptional, and durable, and appearance looks like a high end laptop. I'm 200% happy with my Lenovo 710! You will be too!

This laptop is almost super reliable. 16 gb ram and i7 core is more than enough for what I do. The fan is considerably silent for web browsing and office work but gets louder on heavy task such as gaming. The keyboard is nice except the shift key, it may be annoying for some people but I got used to it.

Great laptop. Super light and has a great picture.
I bought this for the rigorous class work that is required during an MBA. I can run multiple excel spreadsheets and other programs at the same time and the speed is amazing.
Keyboard is comfortable and keys are easy to feel while typing. Only thing I wish it had was a keypad.
Battery life is amazing. I have a 4 hour long class and never needs a charge. I have the brightness all the way up while running spreadsheets and taking notes in One note. I watch other people in class scampering towards the end to find an outlet.
Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the touchscreen pen. The cheap stylus pens work great. I bought the Wacom Bamboo pen that has a fine point so I could write notes smoothly and draw graphs. It is not compatible. I have yet to find a pen that can write other than the fat round stylus, which is not accurate and not good for note taking or trying to draw graphs. Nobody sells one, not even Lenovo.
If your looking for a top laptop that is super fast, long battery, great picture, and is very light weight, look no further.

Thank you for choosing the Lenovo Yoga 710-15. With regard to using a digital stylus with this system, you are correct, the screen on this system is not compatible with a digital stylus. The only stylus that will work is the capacitive touch type stylus (basically a replacement for a finger).

I was looking for a laptop with an i7 processor, 16GB of RAM, an SSD, and a dedicated graphics card. This laptop met all my requirements and was on sale at $900 (new), but I took the plunge and got the "Open-Box Excellent - Certified" for around $840 and added the $150 college student discount.
With the combination of the processor, RAM, and SSD, the laptop boots up amazingly fast. The battery life so far has been as advertised; no complaints. The backlight keyboard (Fn + Spacebar) is a nice and helpful feature. I have connected a 2-year old set of bluetooth headphones without issues and having the SD card reader is nice. The touchscreen and keypad gestures work flawlessly.
I just have two minor complaints; not enough, however, to remove any stars in the rating. The first is the well-documented right shift key. I just would say that it is something one can get used to. The other is that sometimes the laptop is hard to open.
Overall, I'm very happy with the purchase of this laptop.

A very sleek and well designed laptop with a very responsive touch screen. It has high end specs and is blazingly fast. It's light, portable and thinner than other 15 inch laptops. Battery life is good, screen is very clear with no glare in bright light

The Yoga 710 is a great pc with a high performing 'engine'. The 16gb ram meets my needs. The touch screen is great, too; as the screen width almost extends to the very edge. Besides the 16gb ram, the screen was another factor that got me to choose this laptop over the thinkpad yoga. One thing I do not favor is the keyboard. The right shift key is an awkward location and the feel is somewhat hollow, in comparison to the thinkpads. Overall, it's a great product for the value. I suggest picking up a bluetooth mouse and external keyboard to free up the 2 usb ports for other external devices.

I purchased this laptop for college and it has done everything i've asked of it and has done it flawlessly. It's sleek, thin, and very portable which makes taking it to and from class extremely easy. The screen on this thing is gorgeous as well, its bring, vivid, and has really thin bezels which makes it stand out even more. While i was just looking for a laptop to take to and from class, i was presently surprised to see that my version of this laptop came with a separate nvidia graphics card which allows me to play games on it at a decent resolution and frame rate. One small issue is that if you do plan to use this for gaming a lot, you better have a charger handy because it drains the battery pretty quick; gaming with a graphic intensive game drained my battery in about 2 hours. The flip around touch screen is very nice too and its come in handy a lot when i have ebooks for my classes because i can flip the screen around, rotate it into a portrait orientation, and then write directly on the screen to take notes. One gripe i have about the touch screen is that you can't use a pen like the Microsoft surface, you can only use a stylus which typically are bigger and not as precise as a pen would be, but it still works just not as nicely as i would have wanted. Another small issue i have with this is that the shift key is positioned very weirdly on the keyboard; its about the left arrow key and to the right of the arrow up key which means that if you use the arrows or the shift key a lot, you're probably going to be mixing up the two for a few weeks until you get used to it. Once you get used to it its not bad at all. The battery could also be bigger, i get around 8 hours on a charge with the brightness at mid-high and running programs like one note, power point, and a browser. One thing i read before purchasing this laptop was that people were complaining that the power button was on the side of the laptop and they feared that they were going to turn the laptop off accidentally. This has never happened to me and i have been using this laptop for about 4 months so i dont think its an issue at all. So overall a fantastic laptop and i would highly recommend it

Straight to the point the laptop is great! Have owned the laptop for a little over a month now.
Pros:
Great keyboard overall with decent travel
Small footprint for a 15 inch laptop
Small bezels surrounding the screen
Great bang for the buck for Core i7 and 16g of ram and touch screen
Great material and finish
JBL speakers are decent
Trackpad is a good size
Runs quite & cool for the majority of the time
Cons:
Many users have complained about the small right shift key, same here, does take some time to adjust
Trackpad is plastic I believe instead of glass, limits the amount of possible gestures possible
Charger cable is some what short and bulky at the end so it will take up more than one outlet when placed on power strip
When connecting jack into the laptop, the jack is rather tight so when unplugging the laptop it is somewhat difficult to take off compared to other laptops
Since the cable is short and the jack is some what tight, if sitting at a desk and charging there is a high chance of your laptop being yanked if someone trips over the cable
Although the screen is nice at FHD, it would have been nice if there was an option to select a higher end screen
Battery life is ehh, could be better, averaging 5-6 hours, you could squeeze out more by dimming the light and exclusively using the energy saver in the battery options

For the price point, this laptop was pretty good. It had the major features that I wanted (2-in-1 capabilities, decent RAM and an i7), but I've only been using it for a few weeks now, and I've already had some problems with responsiveness. I also wish the touchpad were more sensitive because I've already increased sensitivity to the max, but I still find it annoying to drag my fingers across the touchpad multiple times just to click on what I need. Battery life is pretty good, I love the backlit keyboard, and it's relatively easy to use beyond the aforementioned issues. Can't really complain considering I paid way less with the open-box Geek Squad certified offer.

A solidly built convertible PC. (Note that this is not a tablet because the keyboard does not detach.) Processor speed is more than adequate for document processing and streaming movies. The screen is nice and clear and responsive to touch.
The keyboard is also nice, and to me it's better than the ones on competitive products, especially the flimsy detachable keyboards you find on some tablets, which is the main reason I didn't buy one of those.
I'm not sure there is a better option for the price, especially since there is (or was when I bought it) a $150 discount for students.

So far. I am happy for choosing the laptop. I bought this after thorough research. My purpose is majorly for architectural works. Its build quality, design and specs you get for the price are impressive. Its very sleek and easy to carry. Boots up very quickly. Opens applications like autocad very swiftly. Good sound quality, display and graphics performance.
Down side things are: Opening the lid is not so convenient, Not so light weight. I wish a stylus is provided. Keyboard layout is not good. Atleast for 15 inch size full keyboard with numpad could have been better.

This is a laptop was recommended to me by a Best Buy expert based off of me telling her that I was an engineering student that wanted a fast laptop that could handle hardcore programs with ease. After doing some research, I decided on this laptop because of the top of line features compared to other laptops, such as the i7 processor paired with 16gb of RAM, plus the dedicated graphics. I am completely confident that this will perform great with those programs, and will be great as a college laptop due to the fact that the graphics are amazing, the speed of the computer, and the versatility of the folding capabilities. Would highly recommend this product.

3 Defective Units in a Row- Read Before You Buy

I purchased the Lenovo Yoga 710-15 in. laptop looking for a personal computer that could handle heavier workloads. I liked this offering because of the i7 processor, 16 Gb of RAM, NVDIA graphics, as well as the 4K screen. When I got the first laptop home, the frame was bent in the back, leaving a big gap between the pieces. I took it back to the store where I exchanged it for another one. Got the second laptop home, the screen was visibly crooked, which could be seen by the gaps between the left hinge and the right hinge being different sizes, plus the lid did not close flush, but instead hung off the right side much further than the left. I took this back and exchanged it for a THIRD laptop and it was the EXACT SAME WAY. The store manager told me "that was how they were made" and "it's supposed to be like that". When I got home I just couldn't let the thought go, so I took pictures and sent them to Lenovo and spoke with their customer service department. They confirmed that the laptops were in fact NOT supposed to be made that way, and it was a defective device. At this point, I took the third laptop back and was completely not bought into the Lenovo brand. I paid the different and got an HP Spectre and have been incredibly happy with it. My advice to you, although the Lenovo is a great deal, spend the extra money and get the extra quality of a brand like HP, or a comparable.
