Great Specs for the price. Lightweight and Quiet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picked the Yoga 710 up 2 weeks ago. It has dedicated graphics ,16 gb of Ram, and 256 GB SSD. I originally purchased the Dell Inspiring 7000 which had 12 GB of Ram and 512 GB of storage. As compared to the Dell, the Yoga has better picture quality and screen brightness. It's also a lot lighter and since the bezel is so sleek on the yoga it hardly feels like your carrying around a 15.6 in laptop. My only problem with the product is the touchpad gestures inadvertently become disabled, and I need to disable and re-enable the touchpad gestures in order for it to work again. Also I had to exchange the first yoga 710 I purchased because the touchpad felt "Loose" and the power button on the side wasn't flush, so I had to hit it several times for it to power on, Besides the problems with the original purchase and the touchpad I am happy with the purchase for the amount of money that I spent.

Only thing that takes some getting used to is the position of the shift key on the right. It is in a very odd place, relative to the up arrow...they could have designed this a bit better. In fairness, that is a bit "nit-picky". Overall, this is a very good machine and worth the price!

You can switch the key functions of specific keys on your keyboard with this software, so you could change the right shift key with the key you hit in its place. Just Google search "KeyTweak" and you will find articles about what the software does and you will find the download location for this free APP.

I use it for general internet browsing, for my homework for my college like using google drive and Microsoft word, and occasionally play rocket league from Steam, I highly recommend this laptop, reliable and fast, have a great day!

This product is so so so fast. It takes about a fraction of second to get into the login screen once the power button is pressed, and i taken about the fraction of nanosecond to get into the desktop once you type the password..lol...Anyway, this is a great laptop.

I was going to buy another ThinkPad, but it would have cost much more than the Yoga. As with a lot of other users, i find the right shift key is too small so i keep hitting the page up key. A software program that remaps the keys has been recommended whic i will try.

Best hardware for the price to date...

I can live with the 256 for the price. Beware if you want to use SD card as additional storage that it sticks out half way, so you need a nubby USB stick to get any significant on-board storage. But the CPU and RAM are fast.

Couple of issues worth noting: USB ports are close to one another making it difficult to have two plugged in unless they are sleek, micro hdmi is sandwiched between USB ports. If you buy be aware of this but all in all it is a great mobile work machine.
