• The SSD comes with some software already installed and the formatted size is never what the full capacity is listed as. This is true with all devices running an OS.

• The operating system and necessary executable files are taking up the space on the hard drive. You need to activate Windows 10 to personalize it and allow it to update to any new updates that have come out since manufacture. You can also pair the system to your WiFi network at this time.
