This device is a high performance system with its Intel Core I-5 processor, 8GB of RAM and its 256GB solid state hard drive. Browsing the internet, checking internet based email and streaming movies via the internet will depend on the speed of your internet connection. The resources of this device can handle internet browsing and movie streaming if there is a fast internet connection. This device has an internal fan. You will hear it when the fan runs. This is normal for all high performance laptops similarly configured.

I use it daily for browsing the web, checking email, and other online activities. I have not used it to watch movies, but I am sure it will be fine for that too. The webcam works fine - no problems, it is clear and works good in low light, not to low :-) ... I am glad you asked about the fan - I returned my previous computer because the fan was really loud and would not stop running. I have not had any problems with this fan, in fact, when I first got it I had to pick it up and listen to make sure it was actually running... You will not hear a thing with this computer. I am very happy with this purchase, I am sure you will be too.
