“It is currently June, 2023. This laptop has Windows 11 home edition installed on it. Since Windows 12 is expected to be released in 9 months (March 2024), is Lenovo or Microsot Windows going to do a free update to Windows 12 operating system?”

As far as we know Microsoft always does the Windows updates for free. .
