I haven't experienced that problem. Maybe you're pressing the button too long? If you can get the computer started, I'd immediately update Windows 10 and the drivers. That took a long time for me. I was surprised how many updates this computer required. If the computer still has problems with any flickering or start up problems, I'd return it. That's not normal. My Lenovo had absolutely no problems out of the box, so I'm not sure why yours would.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It does take a little effort to press the button. I've noticed that too. Coming from Lenovo Yoga11s. Which is fine, because I do not accidentally want to press it. BUT the blanks screen, I have not noticed that. I do see the hp logo comes on with the rotating loading image few seconds. On my old lenovo yoga11s, it was very rapid. There was no loading time.
