Mine still has the same issue, though that might not be entirely on Lenovo. Some apps/programs are not optimized for the high resolution screens such as this laptop and look tiny tiny.

The issue with small content on the screen is an issue with the VPN software or the program you are using being incompatible with 4K resolution. You can fix this by adjusting down the screen resolution. We recommend you check with the VPN software publisher's web site for their compatibility with Windows 10 Home 64-bit operating system, 4K resolution and the minimum/recommended hardware requirements (Is a Graphics card required, the processor speed and the minimum required system RAM and the minimum available hard drive space) to run their program, then compare those requirements to this system's configuration.
