- Answer SSD is socketed and easily upgradable to 1TB. Ram is soldered to the motherboard. You'll want to buy the right amount of RAM in the machine.

- Answer Yes, this product is new. There is a limited 1-year manufacturer's warranty that covers OEM issues. You can purchased extend coverage on this device through Best Buy. Check with Best Buy for the details of the extended coverage plans. This model is currently in the Best Buy ad this week.

QuestionWhat's the purpose of the glass? It helps cool it down? Is it functional or just aestethics?

- Answer My opinion is that its there to promote a "premium" look and feel. It also adds about 0.05 lb. and probably a little rigidity to the screen. It does look nice but it caused me to buy an extra-protective speck FlapTop Sleeve (the one for Macbook Air 13) and the extended geek squad plan with accidental damage protection. I see no cooling benefit as there's no glass on the bottom half of the laptop where the heat is. Also, glass is not known to be particularly good at heat transfer.

QuestionPlease confirm how many usb ports there are compared with the regular 910. The Best Buy site lists one more conventional one for the special edition than for the regular one, however, an early demo in-store model showed the exact same number as old one.

- Answer There are three USB ports. Two of them are of the USB type C form factor (one is USB 2.0 and the other USB 3.0) and one is of the USB type A form factor (USB 3.0).

- Answer I found elsewhere that the glass lid adds .05lbs (1.4oz.), and that the glass lid is assembled in addition to the standard aluminum cover, so the width must be greater than .6in, remaining question is how much? My estimate is the glass is at least ~.05in which is nearly an 10% increase. I would still like an official answer to both.
