I have not had that issue. It disables the keyboard when you flip it. It has a popup keyboard on the touchscreen side you can use with your pen or finger.

In short, the keyboard will temporarily become inactive once the top of the laptop is rotated past about 190-200 degrees by default (when tablet mode is automatically enabled can be configured in Windows settings.) At that point, the onscreen or an external keyboard can be used in place of the built-in keyboard. Also, the keyboard well was designed to be recessed to prevent the keys from being under pressure when in your lap or a flat surface.
