We are sorry to hear that you continue to have issues with your webcam. If the red dot is still over the webcam lens, the Privacy Shutter has not been opened. The slider is very small. Be sure you are actually sliding the shutter to the open position, which should be achieved by sliding the shutter controller to the right - Open is to the right. The red dot has to disappear for the webcam to be operational. The webcam light will not turn on with the Privacy Shutter still in the closed position.
