• Hi. I purchased a thunderbolt SD card reader from ebay for under $10. It is perfect. Clean, light and reads the sd cards beautifully. I recommend not letting this feature steer you away from the Lenovo C940. Terrific computer.

• I purchased an external thunderbolt sd card reader for a very nominal price from ebay. It works great. Lightweight and many options on it. Problem solved.

• No there is no built in SD card slot on this model. You can use an external SD card reader with this model. There is one standard USB port on this configuration.
