• Just had a geek help with the thumb scan and I'm up to 3 fingers now.

• This is a function of Windows Hello software. I am just finding "multiple fingers" are usable for a single user, not a definite number. The problem with your thumb maybe that the scanner is having a problem reading it. Try a different finger.
