• A:Answer The pre-filter should be cleaned every 2-4 weeks to increase efficiency and extend the life of your filter. You can use a soft brush or vacuum hose to remove hair, dust, and large particles. You can also use water to remove dirt and dust from the pre-filter only. However, the entire filter needs to be changed every 12-15 months.

Q: QuestionI am looking at the Levoit Everest Pro. Is there a separate filter that addresses mold and bacteria aside from the standard filter that comes with the unit?

• A:Answer Levoit offers several filter options for all their purifiers. While there isn’t one specifically for Mold they have one that removes toxins and other VOC’s. I would say either get that one or the pet allergy one. The original will work just fine too, probably don’t need the smoke remover filter unless you live somewhere near frequent wild fires.

• A:Answer Aside from the PlasmaPro models (which have an optional plasma function), all Levoit air purifiers are ozone-free and do not produce ions. Please note that the PlasmaPro models also have ozone-free versions on our website (Core 200S, 300S, 400S, & 600S). They work purely mechanically by drawing in air and filtering it through our 3-stage filtration system.
