It depends on how advanced the person’s dimensia, and I think this applies to all hearing aids, which are small, expensive, easily misplaced or lost, require regular cleaning and care (replacing wax guards, charging or battery replacement.) My mother in law had hearing aids in her nursing home and the nurses lost them. The Lexie/Bose hearing aids are much less expensive than traditional ones, but they’re still $1000. I really like my new hearing aids. They are smaller than my old ones, fit differently in my ear, work with an app, but it took me a day to figure out that what worked for me was putting them in, turning them on, and then linking them to my app. Someone with dimensia might forget all that.
