The control panel for the LG 0.9 Cu. Ft. Countertop Microwave with Sensor Cooking and Smart Inverter - Stainless Steel, Model # MSER0990, does not have backlighting so there is no way to illuminate it...^Ivan.

We understand your inquiry about the control panel's illumination and that you find it hard to read without lighting. On the MSER0990S model, the SmoothTouch® Glass Controls themselves are not backlit or illuminated. The only part of the control area that illuminates is the LED display screen, which shows the time and cooking settings.
