I believe that it is convection. I do hear the fans on while things are cooking. It's nice because forwhen you are finished using the oven, the fans also come on to cool it quickly. Keep in mind the oven is only maybe 3 inches deep. It is only for things like pizza, cookies, etc. See my overall review for all that we have used it for.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm thinking that it does in a way. I'm assuming it has an electric heating element but whenever it's operating a fan is always running blowing air. After you're done baking the fan keeps running on and off for few minutes to cool down.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It doesn't seem to be a true convection type, but it does circulate a lot of air which contributes to the speed. I just made a homemade faux pizza last night on a pita and used the 'auto pizza' feature - it cooked for about 14 minutes (starting from 'cold') and when I took it out it was _perfect_, the cheese had just started to brown on top, it was cooked through and almost exactly right.
