the oven tray comes with preset heating choices for baking...425,400, 375, 350 degree settings, and then you set the time.....that simple I cooked two steaks, but covered with aluminum foil. You dont want to use the oven like a broiler. You dont want splattering to occur in the oven. Today, I put sliced onion and peppers, and squash and cooked in foil while my herb rice was cooking in the rice cooker and I purchased an already cooked rotisserie chicken,,,and wa lla....a meal I like to bake a few cookies at a time...so they are always fresh and hot and they brown nicely in the LG oven I make a lot of pita bread pizzas in the oven for quick lunches. This oven has not been disappointing in the slightest. The microwave is excellent...I dont cook in microwaves, just use it to heat my coffee and occasionally reheat leftovers.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hello Lowlyk. Thank you for your inquiry. The LG Electronics LG - 1.1 Cu. Ft. Mid-Size Microwave - Stainless-Steel, Model # LCSP111S is not intended for broiling and comes with a caution against that. Although the unit does not specifically have a "browning" feature, it does have 4 preset BAKE temperatures that provide you easy programming to bake selected food items ( frozen potatoes, frozen foods, Biscuits, Cookies)...IFV
