The MVEF1337F features SmoothTouch® glass controls that are backlit during operation—when the microwave is powered on or when you touch the panel, the icons and text light up for visibility, and they “disappear” (go dark) when not in use to maintain the sleek look. The control panel is located on the bottom front edge, so when you approach or open the door, you’ll see the backlighting activate for easy access.
