• There is a small film over entire product. Did you remove that? I have had no problems seeing light on mine.

• Sorry, but, that is a significant problem with this unit, especially if you place it near a window with lighting from behind. LG should have put in backlighting for the keypad or made the labels brighter. Opening the door to use the interior lamp does not help.
