“Will the over the range microwave work as a counter model or put in a cabinet ? I like the over the range microwave but I do not have a range to put it over. Does it have a vent or does it need one? Thanks”

The microwave does have venting one way of 3 options. Out the back center top, out the upper center back, or into the kitchen top front. Because the filters are on the bottom it may not get enough air flow by sitting on a counter, also the top is not finished for looks and is made for cabinet installation. I would highly recommend you look at countertop models vs. under the cabinet styles.
