Hi Alex. Regrettably, we do not have the measurements of the bolt holes for the mounting plate for the LG 1.7 Cu. Ft. Over-the-Range Microwave - Stainless Steel, Model # LMV1764ST nor those for the LMV1680ST to determine if they have the same measurement so you can use the mounting plate for LMV1680ST to mount the LMV1764ST. You should be able to mount the LMV1764ST using the same mounting plate for the LMV1680ST so you don't have to change it with the one that is supplied with the LMV1764ST.
