“Does the depth measurement of 25 3/8 include the coils at the back? And is the top of the refrigerator flat? I read one reviewer say he/she could not put anything on top of the refrigerator.”

This is a good refrigerator but I returned because the owner of a property where I manage decided she wants a smaller (compact/dorm) unit. As I recall, the back is smooth - no exposed coils - so I imagine the depth dimension is accurate. And yes, there is a raised flat unpainted metal plate about 12"x12" on top of the unit that is about 1/2 inch high This is concealed by the door which stands about an inch higher than the box. Rather items could still be placed on top of that Is something you would have to contact LG about. Never seen a refrigerator with a top like this before.
