How well the LG SK1 2.0 Channel Compact Sound Bar with Bluetooth® Connectivity will sound with a 55" LG TV is more about the size of the room that you have it installed in, how far from the TV you'll be sitting, whether you have a lot of furniture or obstacles between the Soundbar and you, or whether your floors are bare or carpeted. The Soundbar has a width of 25.6" and a 55" TV will have a width of about 48" to 49" depending on which model TV you have which is about twice that of the Soundbar, so aesthetically, you may want to review a Soundbar that has a width that is closer to that for the TV...^IFV

It'll sound fine, but if you want a better sound overall, get a soundbar that includes a sub-woofer.
