Where is the vent located? It doesn't seem to be in any of the pictures provided. I'm assuming it should be underneath?

      Answer

Hi Terry, Thank you for your interest in the LG - 2.0 Cu. Ft. Over-the-Range Microwave - Stainless Steel, Model # LMV2031ST. This unit has a built-in automatic vent feature known as Auto Vent which helps to dissipate heat from your cooktop. When the microwave oven senses an increase in the temperature from the cooktop below, it automatically activates the vent fan to create a safer environment for you. It has a standard LED display so it will not indicate that the vent is on and the feature cannot be shut off, it will automatically shut off once it determines that the area below has reached a safe temperature which could take up to 30 minutes even after the heat is removed...^IFV

      Answer

The person might have been referring to the "Extenda Vent" option that LG carries on higher priced models but is not a feature on this unit. That option lets you to pull the vent assembly at the bottom of the unit forward a few inches to allow you to vent more fumes coming from your stove top.

It's green and I didn't realize that until they were both (new range has green display and microwave is blue display) were installed. Drove me crazy that one display was blue and one was green-at first, but now I don't even notice it. They should have made it consistent but not a big deal now.

            Answer

One answer to my question regarding the interior states that the interior of this microwave is white. I tried to cancel the order after receiving the response, but could not. This microwave arrived today, and the interior is gray which is the Easy Clean so I am keeping the microwave. The interior of this microwave is gray.

              Answer

LG microwave comes with wall mount horizontal bar for bottom of microwave and thick paper template for vertical bolts into top of microwave. If you are not both back and arm strong you need to pay for BB installation. Installation is a two strong person project.

                  Answer

Your inquiry is most appreciated! It is understandable that you have concerns with the alignment of the mounting screws for the LG - 2.0 Cu. Ft. Over-the-Range Microwave, Model # LMV2031SB compared to those of your 20 year old unit. Regrettably, I do not have access to the installation instructions for the LMV2031SB, but you definitely should contact BestBuy's Geek Squad. They have services that can help you with determining that. Your other option would be to contact LG Customer Support (800) 243-0000 for the mounting instructions....IFV
