“Can this microwave be installed flush with the upper cabinets (mine are 16 inches from wall, including doors) or is there a vent or something in the top that would require it being moved out further than the cabinet faces?”

• It can be mounted flush with the upper cabinet. There are three venting options and it's easy set it to what you prefer. Mine came top vented, and I switched it to rear vented. You just need to remove a few screws and change the blower orientation and screw it back in place. The third option is to set it to vent thru vents on the top front.
