QuestionIs the handle metal or plasticI have an above the range KitchenAid microwave and the plastic Handle got brittle from the cooktop heat and crumbled. Called two different repairmen and they said not repairable as the glass breaks. Both said had tried on this model and always breaks. Refused to repair

- Answer It mounts from under the cabinet near the ftont. Not sure if all Lg units mount the same way but I think they would. You could call Lg customer service and inquire to be sure.

- Answer Turn the microwave’s vent fan on whenever you use the oven range cooktop below it. The fan captures smoke, steam, and odors and also prevents the heat from the cooktop from damaging microwave components. If the microwave is cooking, the vent fan turns on automatically if the sensors detect too much heat from the cooktop. This is normal, and is designed to prevent microwave component damage. ^Daphane

QuestionHow big is the window?I've seen this model on other sites and the biggest complaint by far is the small window (from other sites). Of course the model shown on other sites is white with black face around the window and the buttons. This all white model appears to have a larger window that is the full size shown, while the other unit appears to have a smaller viewable window inside a black frame. Can anyone confirm that the viewable size of the microwave's window is the full gray area seen in the picture on this site? I wish they carried this in store so I could see for myself.

- Answer 7" H x 18 3/4" W - This is on the stainless model. The measurements are the class you look through.

- Answer The LG - 2.0 Cu. Ft. Over-the-Range Microwave - Stainless-Steel, LMV2031ST as an Over the Range microwave is designed to be installed in a cabinet opening that has a maximum depth of 13" with an opening width of 30" and a minimum of 30" clearance from the bottom of the cabinet to the cooking surface or countertop before installation. The microwave has a width of 29 15/16" so that there only space left once installed in the appropriately sized cabinet opening, there is a minimal amount of space left that ensures an adequate airflow around the unit. When installed in accordance with the instructions given in the installation manual, there is no need for filler panels which is why none are available. ^CP

- Answer Don't use the energy saver button and then the clock display will stay on. The energy saver button is only for the clock I believe.
