• I can tell you that when you plug in the subwoofer, it immediately starts broadcasting a bluetooth signal - which obviously means that it's looking for the bar itself, to connect to. When I set up my sound bar they immediately connected. And I did nothing in terms of pairing. I suppose that if you plugged in a different sub, that your idea could work, but there's no way to tell really.

• You should only connect the subwoofer that is included with the system to the soundbar. ^CP
