QuestionHello! I just bought this soundbar and i connected with my SONY 55" KD55XE8096. The connection established with an optical cable [toslink] but the volume of soundbar is extremely low. In full max volume tv sounds like 25% of built-in sound, which is 20W.

QuestionI have my LG sound bar connected thru optical to my non-smart tv. I’m able to play only Bluetooth on my phone. But cannot get the sound from the tv. My tv also doesn’t have a “sound out” option. Any suggestions?

- Answer You will likely have to use the red and white rca cable jacks. I'm not sure about the sound out options of your TV.

- Answer The LG SL4Y 2.1 Channel 300W Sound Bar w/ Bluetooth Streaming can be paired via Bluetooth with any TV that supports Bluetooth. Not all TVs support Bluetooth. The Soundbar also has an Optical Digital Audio In that can be connected to the Optical Digital Audio Out on any TV that has such a port which should be all LG TVs except for the entry-level TVs that do not feature such a port. ^CP

- Answer You can hook this up yourself with no issues. the instructions that are included are very easy to follow. It's one wire from the soundbar to the television.

- Answer The audio from the built-in apps on any TV that the LG SL4Y 2.1 Channel 300W Sound Bar w/ Bluetooth Streaming is connected can be played through the soundbar without issue as long as the TV outputs an audio format that is supported by the Soundbar (i.e. LPCM, Dolby Digital, DTS Digital Surround, MP#, and WMA)...^IFV

- Answer We had the same problem. Check you have the sound bar the correct way up. It’s confusing as the LG logo is not at the front of the sound bar.
